Libpostproc55/focal-updates,focal-security,now 7:4.2.7-0ubuntu0.1 amd64 Libopencv-imgproc4.2/focal,now 4.2.0+dfsg-5 amd64 Installed ROC packages: $ apt list -installed | grep -i roc WARNING: apt does not have a stable CLI interface. Installed AMD GPU libs: $ sudo apt list|grep -i gpu|grep installed (Even if it gets my VRAM wrong)ĪNY advice would be very helpful, I know this issue may not be project specific but I tried to include as much information about what I am doing as possible for the best chance of figuring this out. I don't know at this stage if WSL can see and/or access my GPU or not, as glxinfo can identify it but nothing else can. Platform Extensions: cl_khr_icd cl_amd_event_callbackīased on this response, it seems to be there's definitely some sort of AMD compatible driver available and if you look at the attached photo you can see what shows up when I try to query for the GPU. Platform Vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Platform Name: AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing Platform Version: OpenCL 2.1 AMD-APP (3423.0) ROCk module is NOT loaded, possibly no GPU devices When I try to check ROC for my GPU this is what comes up: $ /opt/rocm/bin/rocminfo I confirmed that pytorch is installed correctly by running the sample PyTorch code supplied on their website.Īfter doing some digging I realised that the rock-dkms package needed to be installed also, so I followed the advice on this website and installed it successfully - after a lot of issues. For use with GPU I've entered the following command from pytorch: pip3 install torch torchvision -extra-index-url I have been trying to make my GPU accessible by my WSL instance but I can't work out what I'm doing wrong. (Set TF_CPP_MIN_LOG_LEVEL=0 and rerun for more info.) I have been able to deploy the backend and frontend successfully but it runs off the CPU. WSL Kernel: 5.10.16.3-microsoft-standard-WSL2 Link to Dalle Playground repo System OS: Windows 11 Pro - Version 21H1 - OS Build 22000.675 It's too hassle to go to a technician and I don't have any budget for fixing problem inside the components if there any.I'm trying to run and deploy the Dalle Playground on my local machine using an AMD GPU, I'm on Windows 11 with a WSL instance running. I'm completely down at this day knowing that I can't use any programs that requires kind of strong GPU like editing software and some games, I don't know if there's any fix for this but I hope some can help me. I also tried to reset my pc for couple of times without losing my files but it's still freezing, I can't use the option to delete everything because I don't have an external hard drive to backup my files. I tried to uninstall both AMD and Intel for several times even though it doesn't exist in the pc anymore but when I install different versions of the software it still freezing at 99%, and if I restart my pc it will also freeze at the loading screen and can't use it, unless it's on safe mode. So I'm not impressed by that so what I did is uninstall the drivers and reinstall the latest one but even before I install the 2021 version, my pc suddenly becomes unusable it's like whenever I boot it up it doesn't get into the login screen. I only tested it to see if 2019 version is kind of smoother and less crashes than the 2021 versions and it turns out I'm right but some cases it delays the loading screen of VALORANT (when a round ends). It all started when I downgraded my AMD driver into December 2019 version of AMD software from AMD Software April 2021.
